Last night I had a turn at the chalkboard after being inspired by this pillow from Etsy.

Love the chalkboard & the scripture is great!
ReplyDeleteAmen! Love that!
ReplyDeleteSimply beautiful! What an uplifting psalm ~ and it looks even more pretty all faded under the mantle - it almost looks like something discovered behind the wall.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely day!

WOW. What a brilliant way to start my morning. I am writing down this psalm in BOTH languages and putting it up on my inspiration board. We have a chalk board in the garage as you enter the house and I'm also going to erase the ubiquitous "Happy Spring!" and replace it with this psalm.
ReplyDeleteLove love love it. Thanks for YOUR inspiration!
xx P&H
Beautiful! I will have to copy that for my home! Thank you
ReplyDeleteI love that! How did you get the writing so perfect?
ReplyDeleteTammy, did you see the original? Mine's not quite so perfect. :) I just looked at it, and wrote as best I could freehand.

Simply fabulous! I'm thinking I'm going to have to pilfer the idea for my fireplace. Your choice of verse was perfect! Well done!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful idea and a beautiful verse! I would love to borrow this idea but you will have to come to my home and write it for me. Your handwriting is beautiful and mine would look like a two year olds scribble.

ReplyDeletelove it!!!!
ReplyDeleteThis so inspired me...I am having it painted on my wall! I have really high ceilings in the front of my house and have been looking for something to fill in some of the space and this is perfect. I had considered a bible verse...but the fact that it is in french pushed me over the edge! I hope you don't mind?!
ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU!
Cathy
Bonjour, Rie! Your family and home are beautiful as well as your handwriting! But I need to bring to your attention that the Etsy fabric you admire has misspelled French words and an odd sentence structure for the last part of the verse. I found scripturetext.com and it gives a few proper translations. Now you'll be inspired to make your own pillow! I hope I haven't dampened your day, but spelling errors are spelling errors, no matter what the language....Blessings! Pam
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Rie in every way! Wishing you a wonderful weekend ~ Tina x
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Rie. Just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely Mother's Day!

Hi Rie, just wanted to say thanks very much for being my first follower!!!! I just posted about my grain sack pillow attempt - I think my next one will be something similar to the psalm used on your chalkboard!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful mothers day weekend!

ReplyDeleteYour home is simply gorgeous..and you've a beautiful blog as well!
Wishing you a lovely day,
Doreen
Beautiful! Especially appreciated in French! Your home is visually welcoming but when the Lord is present there is also a spiritual welcoming as well.
ReplyDeleteHi Rie, a sweet commenter shared with me that you had used my pillow as inspiration. Thank you so much, I'm so glad you like it. I just love the verse and love it in English, French just looks a little fancier! The verse just says "home" and reminds me to set my focus on our real eternal home. Thanks again!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Ginnie
I love the chalkboard framed by the old, ornate fireplace mantle. Such a great idea and it looks beautiful.
