Ain't it the truth... About the washing, drying, folding AND the putting it all away!
ReplyDeleteWow Rie...this is amazing! I am in LOVE with this room! You did a great job!

I love doing laundry. It's absolutely relaxing!! This is a beautiful space for it!
ReplyDeleteI'll see you Monday:)
ReplyDeleteps where did you get the sink?
I HATE laundry........I don't enjoy one aspect of it all. The size of your laundry room is great. Enough space to move about. Enough light. I like the metal hanging thing in particular, what is it? good job! the room might even entice me to do a load, and maybe even fold it...I really appreciate your big room, mine is tiny tiny tiny.
ReplyDeleteoh rie...did you hear me squeal with delight?
ReplyDeleteoh my...this is so vintage, industrial yummy goodness!!!
and i'd be happy to take a road trip to help the kids...cuz i'd love to be in that laundry room as well as your beautiful, comfy home...even if it is to do laundry!
i'm working on the plans for our laundry room makeover and i can't wait to start..once the bathroom is re-done. :/
judi ;)
Strange to say, but it's a really romantic space.
ReplyDeleteI love your whole house... even this chore ridden space~

I read the first line and wondered what in the world is she talking about. Looking at your amazing laundry room, I am not surprised. :) It's gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteLove your laundry room. I could move in tomorrow. :)
ReplyDeleteYour laundry room is great. I love all the little touches you added. Don't get me started on that sink, adorable. I actually do not mind doing the laundry, it is the putting away that drives me crazy.
ReplyDeleteWow ... I would love to be in there too! I especially love the counter (aka: the folding table.) Laundry is my favorite chore too. I just feel so "accomplished" when it all gets done. At least our part - now the putting away ... sometimes I wonder why my daughter even has a dresser!
ReplyDeletenow that's a laundry room!
ReplyDeleteOk, I'm shocked!
ReplyDeleteYour loundry room is wonderful, it's my dream to have one like that!
Congratulations.
Fra
I don't mind washing and drying but folding is another story. I am really bad about taking it out of the dryer and dumping it on a chair in our bedroom.(It is just me and my husband) One time I let it pile up too much and my granddaughter ask me what I did with the green chair in my bedroom. She thought it was just a big pile of clothes. Oh, TMI, I hang my head in shame.
ReplyDeleteThat space is fantastic and would make laundry seems more peaceful. Everything is perfect. Love that sink!!!
ReplyDeleteLovely and charming. It almost makes me want to paint mine. Almost.
ReplyDelete~olive~
That is gorgeous! I wouldn't mind doing laundry there, either!
ReplyDeleteI HATE laundry. Maybe if I had a room like yours I wouldn't mind it so much. Where did you get your galvanized bins? I have been look everywhere for something like that. You can email me back at beckyjblood@yahoo.com Thanks!

Shellagh
I would love laundry too with a room like that. How fantastic!!
ReplyDeleteWow, Rie!! Your laundry is a dream. I could spend here the rest of my life, doing the laundry.....will you hire me??? Hugs xx
ReplyDeleteI love your laundry room! Laundry is one of my favorite chores too, but if I had your laundry room, I'd be coming up with things to wash so just I could be in there! :-)
ReplyDeleteI think you are living in my dream house:). That laundry room is gorgeous!! I love what you did!
ReplyDelete~Julia
Love the laundry room! I might want to actually do mine if mine looked like that.
ReplyDeleteI would love it too!!!! :)

ReplyDeleteI love what you did with the apple baskets, and that sink!
PRETTY!!!
Wow! I LOVE it. Beautiful. I've always wanted a big launry room. I too love doing laundry, but HATE putting it away. It usually ends up sitting on top of my dresser until I wear it all and it's time to wash again. ha!
ReplyDeleteWow! It is so beautiful, I might actually enjoy doing laundry in that room!
ReplyDeleteNow I could do laundry there! That looks absolutely beautiful! Stop by my blog and check out my giveaway going on right now :)
ReplyDeleteOMG that is so funny, I hate putting the clothes away too. I am usually running a load a day and it just piles up in the laundry room. Your room is gorgeous, I could stay in there all day, it's not yelling out work, it's very calm! Wonderful!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your day!
Kristin
So beautiful! I love the little mirror!
ReplyDeleteDonna
My favorite part, are the little lined baskets on the wall. I'm guessing they're for carry clothes into seperate rooms. Great idea!
ReplyDeleteThis is the most beautiful laundry room i ever see !!
ReplyDeleteLove it all !!! hugs from me........Ria.........
I love how you put your mind to a task and just do it! You are amazingly talented and motivated. I love the little mirror, too.
ReplyDelete- Christan
Now that is one dreamy laundry room...I love the lined bushel baskets!
ReplyDeleteI would do laundry every day if I had a beautiful room like this to do it in. I'm currently renovating my house and am planning a lovely laundry room just like this. Thanks for the inspiration.
ReplyDeleteRie... I see why this room is your new favorite!!!
ReplyDeleteI love it...you and hubby did a wonderful job making it beautiful.
I don't mind washing. I don't mind drying...I hate folding. But. I do it b/c I really hate seeing clean laundry stacked up and not neatly put away!
Seriously Amazing!!!!!! I would look forward to laundry in here! I don't know how you do it but it's just amazing!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful room!
ReplyDeleteHealth and happiness!
Angela
I'd love to do laundry if I had a room that looked like that! I am so in love with your sink.
ReplyDeleteI like doing the laundry too....even ironing....but I would LOVE to do it in a pretty room like yours! Beautiful! Enjoy!
ReplyDelete:)
Gorgeous! I'll be there this afternoon, but I'll have to bring some of my own clothes. Our washer has been disconnected for 2 weeks in a remodel and with 5 kids it's starting to pile up--Grin. Thanks for the invite :).
ReplyDeleteOH MY GOODNESS!!!! (notice all caps)
ReplyDeleteThis is BEAUTIFUL!!!! (all caps again)
I would come do your laundry for you to be able to just spend a little time in this room.
Love it!! it's so simple and perfect!
ReplyDeleteJust wonderful!!! Great job, with a light airy feel! Just like linen!...
ReplyDeleteRie, I would do it all for you just to hang out in this room! It's as charming as the rest of your home. My laundry room is in the creepy dirt basement and I've been trying to get my husband on board for a redo - but to no avail. Now I'm more determined than ever! I will be borrowing the basket idea. :) And I love the hanging wire basket thing...wonder where I could find one of those?
ReplyDeleteReally...you've outdone yourself again - it looks like it's right out of Country Living- who by the way should pay you a visit. :)
Enjoy your day ~
Sarah

HUgs,
Maria
I really like your laundry room! I have the same baskets that you have hanging, only mine doesn't have the cute liner and I use mine for toys. I would love to hear how you use all the different containers/storage in your laundry room. Thanks for sharing with us!

ReplyDeleteWhat a BEAUTIFUL laundry room! I'd never want to leave... is that weird?
ReplyDeleteHello- I just found your blog through your guest post at Pretties and Posies... Your home is beautiful. I just adore this lovely laundry room. I think I could learn to love laundry if I could have this space!
ReplyDeleteHow do you have six kids and time to be this amazing?? Well I was just curious how what method you used to fix the material under your laundry room sink? Is it able to shift to each side-Or is it fixed in postion! Thank you :)Heidi, CA
ReplyDeleteHi Heidi,
ReplyDeleteI'm not amazing. :) I actually just stapled the curtain to the wood counter (underneath). Call me lazy, but it worked just fine. It made an interesting scalloped pattern. :)
the fabric was split down the middle, so I could part either side to get behind it.
