For the first time, I’m doing a link-up with Lauren’s Pure Style blog. Project #13 is all about wall hangings, and these family photos have waited way too long. It’s been something I’ve been meaning to do and never got around to doing. Thanks for the push Lauren!
I’ve been wanting to take some of my favorite family photos, turn them into black and white and blow them up to 8 by 10’s.
I finally did it! I got some cheap white frames and mats from the big “W”, and sent my photos to the local drugstore to be printed.
It took maybe an hour of my time. And now we’ll have a lifetime to enjoy the effort.
And yes, our piano moved once again. See prior post about my “disease” and all will be made clear.

Lovely, I can't get enough of photo walls!! I love that you used white frames with white mattes, very relaxed!!

Beautiful wall of photos! BTW, I have the same illness....but I'm ok with it, lol.
ReplyDeleteYou found the perfect area for your photo wall, which turned out beautifully. And I'm still in love with your front doors!
ReplyDeleteHow's the shelf coming along that your hubby said he could build?? :)
Love it! Such a simple statement but so much beauty! And I have the same illness...and I hope they never find the cure! ;o)

Great spot for them, and they look great! My sis and her family always crack jokes about things moving around here. Now I can tell them it's a disease :)
ReplyDeletei love black and white photos. I think they really show off the subject in the photo much better than in color.
ReplyDeleteYours look great by the stairwell there...and so does the piano
SO SO perfect. i may just NEED to emmulate that:)
ReplyDeleteSo pretty - black and whites are my favorite. (I still have to make a cute little slip for our piano bench!)
ReplyDeleteI love it! What a great idea and it looks so good!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the idea,
Joyce
These photo walls seem to be the topic in many blogs now.
ReplyDeleteI should also repaint one wall and do a photo/picture wall as we have collected so many photos, art, vintage signs etc. that it starts to be hard to fing good places for anything new anymore.
Love your photo wall. What precious memories to view every day. Yep-I get the piano moving thing! lol Diana
ReplyDeleteThey look great Rie!
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteLove the black & white pics. It came out beautiful. We just did that in our dining room. I have three children and blew up beautiful pictures of their faces 11X14 in black & white. Put them in white frames.
Brings a smile everyday. Thank you for sharing.

Makes me wish I had a lovely staircase to put pictures by! What is it about sorting through photos and getting them printed that is so difficult? I've been meaning to do it for months (years?!) but can't quite get to it.
ReplyDeleteOh i love it! Just beautiful

ReplyDeleteI like the white frames and white mats, too. Your pictures are just the right size and just the right amount. Lovely.

ReplyDeleteI always wanted our photos going up the stairs. But has never been possible so far. Looks lovely, how far will you go?
These look great - love the close ups of the children in black and white. I have a bunch of thrifted frames that have been put aside and this is a wonderful idea.
