could provide not only nourishment for the body…

ReplyDeleteDid you know they did that? I mean I guess you didn't...I just am so impressed...gonna have to go to Aldi and buy some eggs. Love how people share their faith in every kinda way! Eggcellent...had too. Have a blessed day!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to start checking my egg cartons now!!! LOL
ReplyDeletei LOVE that:) we don't have Aldis here:(
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! Eggs for the soul!
ReplyDeleteWow what an idea! We have so many Aldis here, but there aren't doing it here. Wish you a lovely weekend, Yvonne
ReplyDeleteThat is awesome! One of our fast food restaurants in SoCal, In-N-Out Burger, has some scripture on the bottoms of their cups-one of the Proverbs and John 3:16. I was so excited to see it and all their fast food is natural/homemade so we do go occasionally. :)
ReplyDeleteHow perfect! My friend is married to a dairy farmer and he's one of 13 children....they are Christians...I'll have to send this to her! Thanks for sharing, Jennifer touch base with my post - it's not as insiring as this but it might make you cackle!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE that!!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Jill
Awesome!! Some of the milk we buy here in Texas is called Promised Land Dairy and has Deuteronomy 26:9 on it.
ReplyDelete"He brought us to this place and gave us this land, a land flowing with milk and honey."
LOVE it!! I will pay more for this milk ANY day... God bless companies that are so willing to share their faith!
I LOve it! How neat!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful yet subtle way to write the word on peoples hearts!! I wish I could find some of those egg cartons!

Aldi's eggs are the only ones I've seen this on but it's one more reason why I love shopping there!
ReplyDeleteI am amazed! I am a registered dietitian & work only part time and have never seen anything written inside an egg carton...what a refreshing and blessed message. What a great start to your day. Thank you for sharing this.

ReplyDeleteOh what a special blessing~Cheers Kim
ReplyDeleteSo neat! I wish we had those stores here.
ReplyDeleteAs a religious minority, that is to say a non-Christian, I find it alienating, to be honest. I decided to comment because I think my perspective isn't one that's heard very often. And when I do find the courage to directly speak up as a religious minority on the issue, I have been shamed, shouted down, or otherwise treated poorly. I'm not speaking of anyone here...Rie you have a lovely and inspiring blog that I visit daily. I'm just saying that it's hard not to feel excluded and "othered" by the cultural and political scene that considers Christianity the only acceptable religious practice. Scripture on my eggs is just one more reminder that I don't belong.
ReplyDeletelove supporting people and businesses who share my faith.....
ReplyDeleteDawn,
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry you find the Bible reference alienating. I suppose I can relate from the other side of things (anti-Christian sentiments).
In any event, I'm sure whoever came up with the idea had the best of intentions. I find it helpful to view things from that perspective.
Rie
Rie, your kindness and warmth are evident in your every post. It makes your blog a joy to read. I know that Aldi seeks to joyfully affirm a specific faith. I hope the day that Hindu scripture graces the inside of an egg carton, there will be equally widespread celebration and understanding of intentions :)
ReplyDeleteWe get those same eggs and I have long appreciated their inclusion of a Bible verse within their carton. Makes me start my day with a smile - rejoicing in the day that the Lord has made!
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful! I have seen nothing like that around here! Love Christian companies that shout their message from the rooftops...or breathe it quietly into an egg carton! xxxoo Diana
ReplyDeleteRie..As I was reading your post I said to my husband get the eggs out of the fridge we just bought..He looked at me like I was nuts..His next comment was..Are ya making something now..It's getting late but I could eat something..LOL..Gotta love him..I said no I just want to read what is inside..Well,let me tell ya I was shocked..I never noticed that before..Crazy I know..It felt inspiring to see the verse on the inside..More companies should do this..
ReplyDeleteA nice surprise.
ReplyDeleteFondly,
Glenda
Hello,
ReplyDeleteThat is beautiful!
Claudia
Bless them for standing on His word and having faith to print it. That is awesome.
ReplyDeleteNo way. No way! Maybe God just wanted to bless you or remind you or something. My ALDI eggs have never had Truth inscribed on the carton! :)
ReplyDeleteRie, that is so cool! I do get what Dawn was saying, although that kind of scripture should make anyone happy- it's so joyful!
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, we don't have Aldi here in the Northwest. We shopped there in Germany and loved it. I posted about eggs today on my blog.

My eggs were colored, but didn't have the lovely psalm that yours had. What a wonderful surprise.

Thanks girl :)

I want to make a special trip to Aldi just to see if I can buy a carton of these 'inspiring eggs'! Love this-thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteHi, my name is Stephanie from the French Rooster Blogspot. I love that you posted the pics of the Aldi eggs. My husband is an executive for Aldi foods. Being we have six in our family, Aldi is the perfect grocery store for us!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lot of "moms" don't know is that Aldi "private labels" most of their foods, meaning for example, Quaker Captain Crunch is in Aldi's private labeled box instead of Quakers, that way it saves us the consumer on cost. That applies for most of their products. We the consumers are saving money by not paying for the label. I usually save $60.00 or more shopping @Aldi For my family than our local grocery store. That means that that 60.00 or more I save, I can use for a trip to the spa or Pottery Barn! :)
Hopefully that info helps some of your readers that do not know a lot about Aldi.
Blessings~ Stephanie (the French Rooster)
pure and simple.
ReplyDeleteI love this post, what a simple blessing.
