So it’s been quiet here on this little ‘ol blog…

but not due to inactivity. At this house? Never!

We’ve been busy beavers, laying wood floors for the first time ever.

Pine boards for the master bedroom, found for 80 cents a square foot via craigslist (of course).

Cheaper than carpet. Can’t beat that!

We drew inspiration from these photos and others like them.

Can you venture a guess what look we’re after?
We figured we didn’t have enough white around here, so we’re creating more.

We’ve been surprised with the process. Details of how we are going about it to come.

I can never get enough of the clean simplicity of white! Gorgeous inspiration photos. Can't wait to see your fabulous new floors!
ReplyDeleteCannot wait to see!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love CL! I think 80% of our home is from craigslist!
ReplyDeletexo,

Craigslist is the best. Looking forward to seeing what you've done.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see what you've done! I'm sure it will be beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI'm so interested to hear more about the white-washing process, Rie. I live in a log house with pine tongue-and-groove paneling in a couple rooms. Since there's an abundance of wood throughout the house, I've been toying with the idea of whitewashing the t&g to break things up a bit. Hope this project is going well for you!
ReplyDeleteTake care,
Erin

ReplyDeleteI am so excited that you are laying pine floors in your bedroom. We are going to be doing that in May when my husband has a week off for holidays. Can't wait to see how yours look as we found our pine floors for 75 cents a linear foot locally...we live in Ontario. We plan on white washing ours too. I am so looking forward to hearing how it goes with you...will you be giving details about how you laid your floor...Ooooo I sure hope so:o)

ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see more, and hear what you have to say. My husband and I have been checking craigslist in our area for a while now, hoping to find a good deal so we can do our masterbedroom. We have never done it before either, so I am sure your experience will help us!
