Closing is today… one week later than anticipated thanks to paperwork snafus. We’ve been in strange limbo, staring at packed boxes lining our hallways and crowding our living space. We’ll be renting out our current home until the housing market recovers (it will, it will!). We have a couple weeks to transition our stuff over to the new place, which I’m counting as a major blessing. I have lists upon lists which I can start crossing off now. When those have dwindled down a bit, I’ll be back with some before shots of the interior of the fixer farmhouse. I’m telling you, it’s bad. But could be worse. That’s my perspective anyway! Here we go…

Hope the move goes as smoothly as a move can go :) I can't wait to see pictures of the before and especially the pictures of after. If I lived in your area, I would so want to buy the house you're leaving. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteI am really looking forward to seeing what you do with that lovely old house!
ReplyDeleteWish I was there to be your assistant in redeeming it!
ReplyDeleteAll the best with the move! Take it easy and don't despair. I'm looking forward to the before & afters of your lovely new home.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your move. Can't wait to see the updates. Blessings to you and your family,

Lots of luck! You'll make the new place fabulous.
ReplyDeleteWe are moving from WA to NY soon, and we are going to rent out our WA house - I am a little stressed about it, so I feel better when I hear that other people are doing it too.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see what you are going to do to the farmhouse.

Have fun :)
ReplyDeleteI know it sounds impossible, but you must try (coming from someone who just went thru this!) Mostly the fun will come from delirious laughs at 2am when you forgot the last time you ate (or showered) :)
Really looking forward to seeing your new home and all of your amazing touches!! Best...

Praying for a smooth transition...and I can't wait to see the photos.
ReplyDeleteWe're moving this month, too-- our 20th in 30 years of great marriage. After raising funds in the U.S. for 17 months, we'll return to Guam. From there we'll ship our household goods to Manila, Philippines where we'll base in our 11th year as missionaries to the Pacific Islands. Yes, we know all about transition.
ReplyDeleteMany blessings to you.
love what God is up to in your family...can't wait to see your journey in this new home.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your new/old home. I can't wait to see what she looks like...I'll bet you are so excited you can hardly stand it! xo Diana

ReplyDeleteRie,
ReplyDeleteI just found your link on Simply Vintage Girl. I can relate to the transition, although I probably don't always count it as joy! Delightful encouragement. Thanks for sharing!
