  2. LOL- When I was a kid on the farm we played in an old casing that was used to house milk cans (minus the top). We would fill it with water and spend hours playing there. Glad to see kids still use their imaginations! xo Diana

  3. I love the trash can lids! We built a country slip & slide every summer when my son was growing up. We used large tarps & a garden sprinkler set up at the top. Soaping the kids down with cheap dish liquid really made them go fast - they loved it! When they were teens the boys would buy tarps & make really long ones. Such fun memories!

  9. Jami- That's actually my oldest daughter! She's 12. I *wish* I was that skinny! Ha, ha. And I wish I was that fun. But, no, I didn't go mud sliding with them. :)

  10. Well, you are still a fun mom for letting them do it. You two look a lot alike!

  12. Oh, I LOVE it...the round sleds are such a creative addition. I might have to show my own kids. We've only had the mud hole, but sliding in...oh, that is too fun!

You will appreciate this. Just saying'....
Received the Bread Bin (large one from ANTHROPOLOGIE) for my birthday and it was smashed. 2nd one smashed too. 3rd one smashed also. 4th one sent but this time they sent the small canister instead and my kids paid for the big one. Another mistake.
TAKE 5....waiting on #5 to arrive. I need a storage unit to keep all the smashed ones as I wait for the in tact one to arrive.

Do you ever have this much trouble with the store ANTHROPOLOGIE? I think the packer in the warehouse needs a quick Packing 101 class. Plus when they put a fragile sticker on the box...UPS drop kicks it to the destination. :(

I am a bit miffed with the company. BUT...I love the Bread Bin more than life itself. I will hold out for one that is unbroken....even if it takes 100 tries.

Give me some hope. Plus...how are the ceilings going. An update soon?

Love your blog and decorating skills.

  14. Barb-how horrible of an ordeal! I'm so sorry. You know... I've not ordered much through them online. Most of everything I've bought from them came from the store itself. I hope for your sake they finally get it right this last time!! Then they should give you a coupon or maybe a prize! :)
